I am not sure why most people blog. Is it a compulsion to catalog and document our lives? An exercise in vanity or narcissism? A cry into the ether to see if anyone is listening?
Being a Capricorn, I’d say my compulsion is probably a little bit of all of the above. We’ll see where it goes from here.

It’s definitely all of the above. For me, it’s a great way to fill in the boring hours of the day too. It’s not a good idea to blog if you don’t openly confess to being a bit of an exposure-whore! Most people stop blogging due to lack of exposure, so in a sense that proves that it’s what people are expecting when they blog.
Having said that, welcs aboard.
Hey there defpunk- good points all around. I’ve blogged a bit before, and I know what you mean about craving exposure. It can be tempting to keep checking those stats! Thanks for the welcome
Ah god yea, I check my stats all the time too. Even worse, I try to figure out who clicked what :’D
There’s no question for me. It’s absolute pure narcissism. I try not to be a jerk in day-to-day life, but it’s gotta come out somewhere, so I guess it’s good I have a blog.
Hepworth- I love your honestly! I can definitely see the benefits of blogging instead of unleashing on innocent bystanders
